The battery should be changed when it is almost empty, which will be indicated by the appearance of battery symbol on meter’s screen. However, few more tests can be performed with the meter. Nevertheless, we recommend immediate replacement of batteries. The meter will not work if the batteries are not replaced and you will observe an error message E-6 on the monitor. 3V CR2032 type batteries can be used to replace the old batteries. Even after the replacement of old batteries, already saved results will remain in memory of the meter. |

How Do I Code My Meter? |
First check that the three digit code printed on the chip matches the code printed on the label of the test strip container. Turn the meter off. Slide the code chip from the new pack of test strips into the slot on the side of the meter. Make sure that the chip is pushed in fully. |
How many test results can be stored? |
You can store up to 100 test results in the meter’s memory. |
Is it possible to use inadequate sample and how good is the detection? |
If insufficient sample is applied to the test strip, the meter displays an error message as E-5. In that case, repeat the test and apply enough sample to the test strip check window. |
Does the meter need to be cleaned? |
Cleaning is required only if the meter indicates that it is necessary. |
Whether the meter is suitable for alternate site testing (AST)? |
Yes, it is suitable for alternate site testing. You can use capillary blood samples from alternate sites other than finger tip, such as the forearm, the upper arm, the ball of the thumb or the calf. Alternate site testing (AST) requires the use of a special lancing cap. Always consult your health care professional to see if AST is suitable for you. |

Is it crucial to wait until the drop icon appears in the display before applying blood? |
Yes. The meter takes about 1.5 seconds to test the strip position, strip quality, and other pre-analytical details. If these checks are interrupted the test strip may be lost due to error. |
